Acceptable Use Policy

What you can upload

• Photos of your own pet, or of a pet whose owner has said yes.
• Photos you took yourself, or that you have the right to use.
• Photos of a pet that has passed away, for a memorial portrait.

What you can’t upload or create

• Photos where the point is a person. We paint pets only; people in the background are left out of the portrait.
• Anything sexual, violent, hateful or showing animal cruelty.
• Photos you don't have rights to, such as other people's professional pet photos or images from a breeder's website.
• Pet names that are slurs, insults, or the names of real public figures or brands used to imply endorsement.
• Attempts to get around the free limits, automate the site or reverse-engineer it.

What happens if a rule is broken

We may refuse a photo or a name, remove content and limit or close access. If you think we got it wrong, email hello@petportraitfromphotos.com and a person will look at it.

Reporting

If you believe your photo was used here without permission, email hello@petportraitfromphotos.com with details and we'll remove it promptly.
